Real estate crowdlending in Chile
Real estate crowdfunding is a modern form of collective investment in construction and urban development projects. It consists of pooling capital with other people to take part in real estate projects that, on an individual basis, would be hard to reach.
Through a digital platform, many investors contribute funds that are allocated to a specific project. Once the construction is complete and the goals are met, the profits are distributed proportionally among all participants.
This model lets people with little capital invest in large projects such as residential buildings, housing complexes or the remodelling of existing buildings — increasingly relevant in the context of Chile’s urban development.
Crowdfunding opens the real estate market and makes it more accessible. It is no longer the prerogative of large developers or investment funds: today, anyone who wants to can take part in it.
